Mo, mi amigo imaginario
(Mo, my imaginary friend)

Childhood insecurity is a type of fear experienced by children in the face of any real or imaginary event that may involve failure. It is a negative emotional state that causes cognitive, behavioral, and social disturbances, affecting their identity, self-esteem, and self-confidence.

The reflection of a child’s emotional security lies in their imaginary friend that represents a complementary self in which the child reflects and confronts themselves as a game of learning and development.
“Mo, mi amigo imaginario” is designed for children aged 5 to 7, and aims to serve children as a conscience to express their emotions and a way to feel protected. Mo plays the role of a companion, promoting independence and autonomy. The construction of a “personal imaginary friend” fosters self-esteem, self-care, trust, and security. It allows the child to demonstrate emotional self-construction, security, and independence.

Mo is an imaginary friend materialized in a soft toy, constructed from patches of love, filled with care, and embroidered with precision. Mo is the embodiment of love, care, and significance.

The piece demonstrates that every patch, stitch, patchwork, and embroidery was made with love, conveying self-love. The puppet is handmade; each pattern, patch, button, and embroidery were meticulously crafted.
